STATISTICS PROJECT

 

Tasks


You will select 20 questions (7 questions must include intervals) for your statistics project. Each group in your class will have a different project. Create a chart that indicates your question and a table showing the results of each person in your sample. Your sample size must be a minimum of 50 people, and your chart must include labels and units. You will begin collecting data from your school. All data should be collected by the time your class meets again.

·         You will tabulate (organize using a table) your data results from your sample of 50 or more.
·         You will include mean, median, mode and range. (If any)
·         Poster boards should be included in the project.
·         The charts that must be included are the following: Pie, histograms, bar and two way tables.

Write a minimum of five sentence summary of your findings. Use the following questions to guide you in writing this summary.

1.       What conclusion can you make based on the results you collected ?
2.       Do you think there were any variables (reasons) that might have made your results what they were?
3.       Based on the survey sampling you collected, which method of representation best fits your data and why?
4.       After completing this assignment, are there any areas of statistics that are still not clear to you? Be specific
Organize all components on a poster board for your final project grade. Your poster should include the following:

·         The survey questions (as the title)
·         Your initial table with the data results you collected
·         The measures of central tendency
·         The charts

·         A project summary
